I have been wavering back and forth on the issue of Mats Sundin and the no trade clause. As a Leafs fan I have come to love our captain. He represents everything that a NHL captain should. And now he has chosen to go down with the ship. It is selfish for me to want to see Sundin play with Toronto. The team needs to get better and they could if they could trade him. Along with him Brian McCabe is dong a similar thing. If someone in your job comes to you and says will you wave your no trade clause its like them saying ” We don’t want you anymore.”
If he cared about the hockey team in Toronto that he currently has played for the last 13 years, then why not help them get better. The point that various columnists have made. If you allow yourself to be traded then the Maple Leafs may get better. After trying to decide which side I’m on, I have made my choice.
I wish that Mat’s cared about the fans as much as his team.

So Blue Indian Dogma huh? I know most will look at this and say, “What?”
There’s a simple reason why I chose to name my blog this. Dumb luck. You see I am an avid hockey fan. The two teams that I cheer for are the Chicago Blackhawks (since 1991) and the Toronto Maple Leafs ( since 2002). I am also a fan of Widespread Panic. They have a song named “Blue Indian” and I thought it was a good mix considering the Blackhawks logo is an indian and the Maple Leafs colors are blue and white. I know its not that clever but I thought it was, so I went with it. I have added Dogma because I found a definition that I believe will truly fit this site.
dog - ma : “a point of view or tenet put forth as authoritative without adequate grounds”
I hope to have various posts soon about all walks of life.
