Get Ready for the Draft

Ok so this doesn’t have anything to do with the NFL Draft.  But it’s Friday and this is funny.

Dolphins sign #1 pick Jake Long

Michigan OL Jake Long signs with Miami

Well so much for the anticipation of the NFL draft. The Miami Dolphins announced today, Tuesday the 22nd, they have signed Michigan offensive tackle Jake Long. The reports from the NFL Network are that Long signed for five years at $57.75 million, with $30 million guaranteed. As a Dolphins fan it is nice to not have to suffer through the Brady Quinn or Teddy Ginn saga from last year’s draft. “We had him at the top of our board for a long time,” Miami general manager Jeff Ireland said at a news conference in Davie, Fla. So now the St. Louis Rams are on the clock and the draft hasn’t started yet.

Windows Fight

Ran across this funny little animation on YouTube. Not entirely sure how the author created it, but it was a good way to start the day. I have always just thought those little characters were running in the background in XP. That might at least explain the blue screen of death.

Thomas loyal to the End

Zach Thomas’ agent said that the former Dolphin Pro Bowler turned down New England because he knew how the Dolphins fan would have taken it .

“Dallas was a very good fit for him because, like New England, they’re a winning team,” Drew Rosenhaus told 560-AM (WQAM) Tuesday morning. “They’re in his home state, close to his family, and he grew up as a Cowboys fan. But also being a loyal Dolphin, and he’ll always be a Dolphin, it would have been very difficult for him [to play for New England]. He did not want to alienate his fans, and really, I don’t think, he wanted to compete against the Dolphins.”
