Toronto 4 Florida 3 in SO.

For the past three years the Toronto Maple Leafs had opened the season with a lackluster effort. Then they win some games and loose some games. Right after the all-star break they start talking about being in contention for the playoffs. Sounds like a broken record. I am remind of the Jim Mora famous quote, “ PLAYOFFS? PLAYOFFS?” What gives? Why does a team of over paid millionaires wait until the season is almost over to start playing like a team?

Why not start from October? The reason for this rant is as soon as I start to believe in Toronto making the playoffs they will break my heart and come ever so close with out getting in. Sounds like 41 years of heartache is going to be 42. I want to “BELEAF” I really do. But loosing sucks and I don’t want to get my hopes up again. I will still be at the game on Saturday (vs Washington) watching, cheering, defending my team. Yet in the back of my mind I know it’s all for not.
